Cerx UPDATE!!

^
Been driving the cerx for a good few weeks now trying to get a feel for it, i only get to take it to the track only once a week for about 4-5 hours so i ultimately have to make the most of it, the first few sessions felt good as i was trying to push it to its capabilities and seeing how it was handling from my first initial settings, now the cerx is an amazing RWD worthy machine BUT it's nowhere near to how i want it. Being a mid mounted motor chassis there was a fair amount of weight further forward than i like, and i like a rear weight bias chassis, now alot of people don't like adding lots of extra weight but i don't care!, if my chassis performs the way i want thats all that matters, so i've added about 100grams of weight to the rear and so far so good, with the added weight meant changing the springs from soft to medium as for the front i've gone for hard springs. With these current settings its driving much better but its still far from being tuned for its maximum potential.

Some other settings which i like to have is tuning suspension pin angles, at the front of the chassis and the rear of the chassis, squat, anti-squat, pitching, kick-up or how ever you wanna call it, i like to have these settings on my chassis. In the rear i always add about 2mm under the RF suspension mounts and then if possible i also flip the RR suspension mounts which gives anywhere between 2-3mm of kick-up for some anti-squat. The main reason for doing this is better acceleration from standing point and better acceleration out of corners, traction is a little increased too.

In the front i add 2mm under the FR suspension mounts for some anti-dive, to help with some mid cornering and to help transfer more weight to the rear.

Running the addiction Tatsuken Ashi V2 front suspension system i found a few little undesirable things about there design or a faulty and it all comes down to this little tiny upper arm bit that connects from the knuckle to the front arm piece of the lower arm, designed so it screws in using a sleeve type system, i hated it!, had way to much play for my liking and it was fucking with my steering and geometry, so what i did to remedy this was put a thin layer sticky tape around the sleeve to take away some of that play, and voila!! .. less play ... now theres still a tiny bit of play but compared to what i initially had it was much better and it wasn't interfering with my steering. TS have a upgrade part for this but it only comes in black and its super expensive and sold out so for now the sticky tape will have to do .. haha!!
