S-chassis festa - NEWCASTLE

^
We recently had our ONE10.RCDT x NDRC S-Chassis Festa event up in Newcastle on the weekend, with a few of the RCDU boys coming up too, the drive was about 2 hours, 162km NNE of Sydney, a 6:30am wake up for me and meeting up with the crew to leave at about 830am and arriving 10:30am,  we did kinda get lost due to relying on the facebook MAPS taking us 10mins away from our actual destination .. haha, we finally found our way in the end.

The NDRC (newcastle drift rc) organisers and community have done a really great job on finding a residence for a semi-permanent track. On arrival the track is situated inside a community centre, it takes time/effort/passion/hard work and the pure love of rc drift to able to setup this track and tear it down EVERY meet, 9 pieces of carpet, rolls of tape and rolls of velcro make up this amazing layout,  being one of two amazing tracks that now reside in Sydney, the layout it self is very flowy and lots of fun, compared to RCW it smaller but the size its self still makes it fun for door to door tandem goodness, the speed for me in particular was a little bit fast even with super hard carpet tires(DS FFF ZERO), but this is due to my particular setup a few other boys found it slower, but that could also be due to them running brand new DS tires. The carpet join lines did make it bumpy at times but i still doesn't take any fun away from the drift experience and it wasn't that much of an issue.

Big ups to Phil and Jono and the rest of the organisers of NDRC

NDRC is definitely at track to visit in Sydneys growing rc drift scene :)

Nice one Phil.

The turn out for this event was great for the body comp, some great shells and some top blokes up in Newcastle.

 ^
Wandi brought this shell along in the hopes of raffling it off ... in the end we convinced him to keep it ... for some reason he didn't like it ...

How could you not like this Mark X

These are the winners of our twin drift comp we held after the body comp, all members of RC Drift United ... unfortunately i was unable to get any footage or pics from this as i was judging ... but i can say that there was some amazing and close twinning battles and all these guys did an amazing job when it came to skilled team work and fun ...  smiles all round!!

A huge props to Dan (far left, white) who had just arrived in time for the twin drift and who had only had 5 minutes on the track to have a feel before partnering up with Tony (owner Apexhobbies/RCW), now thats what i call team work at the last minute for second place..

Thank you boys it was amazing to judge

Me and ONE10.RCDT give a final thanks to Phil and Jono, the NDRC community and RCDU for coming to our event and making it a HUGE success.

Congrats to all the winners!!
